Become an IAS officer in one year?

To become an IAS Officer in 1 Year is not a piece of cake, you have to dedicate yourself to both Hard and Smart work. In this article, I have discussed all the points that you need to do as per plan. I have segregated every part with the amount of time it is needed to be given. Let’s get started.

First Month (June): You have just now started your Journey towards your Goal. In this first step do as much research as you can. Read blogs, articles related to this step. At first focus and understand what are your strengths and weaknesses. By understanding that, you can plan out your strategy and the material you are going to use.

Next 2 Months (July & August): In the first step, you had a study of what you should and should not. Now it's time for some Hard Work. Read as much as you can. Remember to prepare notes simultaneously, read them and improvise them to perfection. You have to keep in mind, no miracle or shortcut is going to help you, plain and simple Hard Work. Read Newspaper daily and invest yourself in Daily Current Affairs, and textbooks. If you are at Shubhraviraj Coaching Center, then you don’t have to worry, your work will be lighter. You just have to revise at your home.

Next 2 Months (September & October): Till now you are done with a good amount of study. Now you can start with the Prelims mock test. If somehow you are not sure about your preparation, read and repeat the 2nd step till you are confident enough that you will crack the exam effortlessly. You have to keep in mind that your time is limited and you need to start preparing for optional papers as well. Just don’t stop, keep reading, revising, and making those topics strong.

Next 6 Months (November to April): Till now you have been preparing for Preliminary exams, now reorient the preparation towards the main exams. You have to keep giving the mocks once or twice a week. IF somehow you felt that you are not able to complete the exam on time or you are observing your performance getting down, keep aside your main preparation and start focusing on pre again, as it is much more important and the first step of clearing the exam. While preparing for mains, keep your facts clear, and remember to prepare the best. Expand your Horizon and Read as much as you can. Remember your concepts must be clear to write any answer.

The most important point to always remember is,” READ, REVISE, TEST and REPEAT”

Write as many tests; give as many mocks as possible before handily including optional. Prepare for an essay too, Revise and give a test. Remember this, “Do not wait for the prelims result”. Start immediately!
